Our Team

Dr. Grant McGann’s genuine care for his patients shines through in his work day after day. His career has been dedicated to performing and advancing oral and maxillofacial surgery.

A native Californian, Dr. McGann was born and raised in Laguna Beach, California. He received his undergraduate degree in Health Promotion Disease Prevention from the University of Southern California in 2001 and his Doctorate in Dental Surgery degree from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in 2004. He graduated with honors from both dental and undergraduate schools, and has received numerous awards for his academic and clinical work. In 2008, after graduation, he completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the prestigious Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C.

Dr. McGann’s passions include spending time with his wife Sarah and their children, Sloan, Dean and Knox. They love spending time enjoying San Diego’s great coast—either surfing, going to the beach or taking their boat out to fish.

Dr. Grant McGann is certified by AAOMS, CALAOMS, and CDA, and is a diplomat of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Rachel joined the team in 2008. She has been in management and customer service for more than two decades. This rich experience allows her to relate and respond to the needs, concerns, and cares of our patients and their families. With a degree in business management from the University of Phoenix, she manages the overall patient experience and is passionate about bringing first-class customer service to McGann Oral Surgery.

She loves spending her free time with her husband Frank,  their adorable daughters  Lexi and Reina, and their fur baby Ellie. One of her favorite hobbies is baking and trying new recipes, and the entire staff loves her for it! Her treats are always delicious and irresistible!

Natalia joined the team in 2008 and is responsible for coordinating in-office and hospital-based procedures. Her style is to always find a way to connect with patients and deliver the highest level of care and compassion. At work she takes extra pride in making even the most difficult, anxious situations comfortable for patients and their family.

She enjoys spending time with her husband James, and their 2 English Springer Spaniels Winston and Addison. She also has a handful of chickens that supply her with fresh eggs daily. Her husband and her have been busy working on home renovations projects and creating their forever home. Her passions in life (besides her husband and dogs) are the San Diego Padres and Argentine soccer.

Enrique joined the team in 2008 and works with our patients for all matters related to insurance and billing. With his extensive experience, he is able to thoroughly explain to patients the details of their insurance benefits and the financial details related to McGann Oral Surgery procedures.

He is originally from Orange County, but loves being a San Diegan. His hobbies include trying our new restaurants, traveling, and spending time with his great group of friends.

Nick joined the team in 2012 and has more than 15 years of oral surgery experience. He grew up in Huntington Beach and later served our country for eight years as a U.S. Marine. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his wife Carla, playing video games and exploring National Parks. He loves working in oral surgery because it allows him to connect with his fellow veteran community in San Diego while making a difference in peoples’ lives.

Carla joined the team in 2022 and has more than 15 years of dental experience. When not at work she is hiking the many San Diego trails, cheering her daughter on at a soccer field or adjusting to her son leaving home and entering the military. Her big smile and funny facial expressions always make us laugh and make the day a little brighter.

Shana joined the team in 2019. Her sweet smile and gentle voice is a great way to welcome patients into our practice. She is a San Diego native and feels so fortunate to live in a city with so many great restaurants to check out on a daily basis. Shana and her boyfriend Noah love the San Diego Padres, concerts or just lounging by the pool in their free time.

Brandi joined the team in 2025, rounding out our surgical team with more than 20 years of dental experience. She has always known oral surgery was the right dental field for her because it is both interesting and unique on a daily basis. She is busy with her two girls in high school and college, so when she’s not with them she enjoys hiking with her husband.
