Reconstructing Faces…Transforming Lives

Oral surgeons like Dr. Grant McGann are experts in facial and jaw reconstructions, particularly with the injuries associated with facial trauma. These are often complex cases which require years of experience, extensive planning and an entire team of providers to deliver the best possible outcomes. At San Diego’s Sharp Medical Center, where Dr. McGann is a member of the medical staff, one such facial reconstructive case was profiled in the ongoing series The Sharp Experience. In this moving case, a patient by the name of Blessing suffered a devastating facial injury as a young boy in Africa.
